SAY 'I DO' IN STYLE

By Andrea Holderfield

A summer of weddings makes many fiancees and soon to bes daydreaming of their beautiful gown. It is your day and only fitting that you walk down the aisle in style.

The name to know in bridal couture is Carolina Herrera. Her gorgeous wedding gowns are the creme de le creme in the fashion world. This beautiful chiffon gown with cinched waist and jacket is so very Jackie O. Fortunately for us Southern fashionistas, select Carolina Herrera gowns can be found at Carriage House Weddings in Homewood. This gown is from her Spring 2008 collection, so if you want to be among the first and only to own this gorgeous gown you may want to go ahead and put in a request.

Anne Barge is an incredible bridal designer from Atlanta. Her bridal collections include the Black Label, Couture, and Le Fleur. Visit The White Room in Helena to find your perfect style. Pictured is a beautiful cream satin gown with waist embroidery from her 2007 collection.

Monique Lhullier designs chic, feminine gowns. Walk down the aisle in a “Melissa” style ivory re-embroidered lace v-neck sheath with cap sleeves. Carriage House Weddings in Homewood

Love your articles! These dresses are phenomenal - who knew a bridal gown with a jacket could be so chic. I really like the ones that cover up the upper arms.

Don't know if there are any brides to be but the Southern Bridal Show will be in Birmingham on August 26th. Just found it on eliteevents.com In fact, we can all go and just pretend!

has anyone been to The White Room how long does it take to get there? I am familar with where Carriage House is.

Anne, The White Room is in Olde Towne Helena. It is relatively easy to get to. Get off 65 at Valleydale road and go right. You will drive past 31, and down a long road that will eventually come to 2 RR tracks. After the second, you are in Old Towne. The White Room will be on your right and, suprisingly, is a little white house.
It probably takes 15 minutes from Homewood, where the Carriage House is.

is renewing your vows a big enough excuse for buying a $5,000 gown?
