PARTY HOPPING: DERBY PARTY AND FIESTA BALL

YP Birmingham hosted a fabulous Derby Party at Historic Rucker Place May 4 featuring mint juleps by Wild Turkey and Russell Reserve, catering from Whole Foods, jazz by The Music Caterers, a hat contest with a Furla Bag from Gus Mayer as the winning prize, a celebriducky derby race with Gene Simmons duck beating the odds, and of course great fashion! On what may have been the biggest party weekend of the year with a slew of activities from Schaeffer Crawfish Boil to Cinco de Mayo, UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center Young Supporters Board hosted the first annual Fiesta Ball May 5 at Workplay. It was a huge success and of course where there are YPs there are fun times and fun fashion! (And of course your fashion friendly neighborhood Fashionista was there!)

ROLLING WITH MONDAVI

Bromberg's hosted a night of merlots, cabs, and pinots with special guest Carlo Mondavi making his only North American appearance this season. Guests enjoyed sampling the Mondavi family wine in Waterford glasses designed specifically for each wine by Mondavi. Whether it was the great wine or the great looking wine man, a fabulous crowd gathered at the Bromberg's Mountain Brook store May 2, proceeds benefited the Birmingham Museum of Art. www.brombergs.com

YP Birmingham and Rotaract enjoyed a night of fundraising, fun people, and fun fashion at Workplay April 5 sponsored by Schaeffer Eye Center.

Fashionista Kelly La Fleur sports a must have of the season the cropped swing jacket, the beige jacket can be found at Express.

These guys sport the trusty button down and jeans paired with great smiles, Southern men can always make it work.

Throughout the year YP hosts events for young professionals to enjoy the Ham www.ypbirmingham.com - here are photos from their annual Tinsel and Toddies which raised money for Red Mountain Park, an initiative to build an incredible greenspace that would help retain and attract young professionals to Birmingham www.redmountainpark.org.
