I can't resist sharing my own funniest wedding story. At my wedding at Rosemary Beach my 6 pound Maltese, Doolittle, played ring bearer. While my husband and I were holding hands and sharing vows and photographer was doing an excellent job of getting all the right shots. As he tried to subtly shoot from behind the bushes at Rosemary's Eastern Green, he was not slick enough to fool Doolittle who began barking fiercely at this stranger spying on us! Doolittle calmed down and we said our vows as the sun was setting. I could not have asked for a more wonderful wedding and I will certainly never forget my sweet Doolittle being so protective of Bo and I and our guests. I certainly can not imagine not having Doolittle there on the big day - he is such a big part of our lives and enhances each day!

This wasn't very funny at the time, but I did get a ticket on my way to the church for one of my best friend's weddings!

My funniest wedding moment was when my husband was trying his signature dance move and busted it on the dance floor!

We had a dance off at the reception - there were some of the funniest dance moves I've ever witnessed on a dance floor. Especially from the guys!

Doolittle is always the star. When Bo and Amy were announced at the end of the ceremony, everyone applauded while Doolittle joined in by barking and jumping. He is so cute.

My shoe broke before the wedding so I had to walk down the isle barefoot. My
dress was fitted for me to wear shoes. I had just finished lighting the unity
candle when I was going back up the stairs I tripped on my dress. I feel down
the stairs and knocked the unity candle over. Thankfully the best man saw what
was happening and caught the candle stand before it fell and caught anything on fire.

At one wedding I was at, the best man decided to have a little fun with the bride and groom. The bride has always been known as being a little bit, how do I say this, high strung when it comes to life and way too serious about everything. About an hour before the wedding, his best man took a bottle of white-out and left a message on the soles of the groom's shoes. When the groom kneeled down during the ceremony, the crowd burst into laughter at the sight of the word "Help" running down his left shoe, and the word "Me!" running vertically down the right. The priest, who was also oblivious, had to stop the ceremony for a couple or seconds due to the roaring laughter. The bride had no idea what was happening and had a freak out moment at the alter, which made the event even more funny to the crowd. Once the best man filled them in on the gag, she started to laugh and loosen up a bit. It was one of the best things I have ever seen at a wedding, and one I will never forget although I do hear the bride got even with the best man at his wedding, but that is another story for another day.

My funniest wedding moment happened when my husband and I were getting our pictures taken outside. It was about 2 hrs before the wedding, and it was really windy. I was wearing a long cathedral veil, which I thought was secured to my hair. Obviously it wasn't, because all of the sudden, my veil flew off my head and landed on the 3rd story of the church and got caught on a window sill! We had to wait until it got windy again because the windows were painted shut, and it was too high to reach. Luckily a gush of wind finally blew it down. I can finally consider this moment funny, b/c at the time, it was horrifying!

hours before our wedding rehearsal my husband was riding around with the groomsmen getting their supplies for the bachelor's party. They were in a car of someone who was a parent and had one of those little mirrors you can stick on the window to see in the back. My husband trying to be funny stuck it on his forehead and then his cell phone rang. He talked on the phone for about 10 minutes while still having the mirror suctioned to his head. One of the other groomsmen ripped it off realizing he had it on there too long but it was too late. There was already a bruise colored circle the size of lemon in the center of his forehead. Of course they all thought it was hysterical but my husband knew he was in big trouble. When i arrived at the church for rehearsal i noticed all the groomsmen staring at me with the look of something is really wrong. My husband said we need to talk (worst words ever to say to someone before you get married) and i immediately thought something happened to the tux or with the honeymoon. The church was very dim and had low lighting and not to mention he pulled me into a dark hall way to make it better. He started sweating as he began to tell me what happened and when he got to the part about the mirror i looked at his head and noticed the huge spot. At the time i just laughed and rolled my eyes knowing that this was characteristic of him...see next post for rest of story

(sorry this long) but told him that he would have to be the one to break the news to my mother! Now i still can't believe he did that the day before our wedding!!
You can imagine how many laughs we had on our wedding day as the bruise got darker and throughout our honeymoon. Our wedding guests really got a kick out of too! Let me know if you would like to see pictures of this, they are great!
